Folki hearts United Arrows

So my first shipment of brooches just arrived in Tokyo.
It feels wierd to send them off with everything thats going on, slightly sacrilegious.
But life goes on and stores are open, trying to keep things normal in such awkward and sad time.
I was listening to the radio last night and they where talking about the new help for Japan compilation you can but on itunes.
And why something could never top "we are the World" that came out in 1985.
One caller said that people have been slightly dulled down because it has been so many disasters lately.
Tsunamis, earthquakes, wars and upheaval. It feels like it's the end of the world on a such days.
I can't even start to imagine how the japanese people feel.
Well, the brooches arrived with their cheerful color and happy flower patterns and will be sold at United Arrows men's department.
The idea was that you could use the brooch as a pocket square or a flower, to put a fun element on your suit jacket or everyday clothes.
I hope it will bring at least a little bit of sunshine on a gloomy day.

Pontus!

A few weeks ago I did a job with Swedish ad agency Frankenstein for the lovely Stockholm restaurant Pontus!.
I painted some type and four portraits of authors they have in their library, can you guess who they are?
Dostojevski, Tove Jansson, Groucho Marx and Karin Bojje.
The client liked the more simple versions but I love the patterned backgrounds in the original drawings
and thought that I should show them here.
Hope you like them as much I do!

Confezioni Crosby

Bill and I came together and worked with Confezioni Crosby, this new women's work wear label.
I love all the styles but my favorite was probably the dungarees and the vintage printed shirts.
All in all it was a great day, good people, nice pictures and sunny weather, I could get used to this sort of work!
